The ArcticNet Network of Centres of Excellence and its national partners have announced that the Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM2019) will be held at the Halifax Convention Centre December 2 - 5, 2019. The ASM2019 will bring together leading Arctic researchers, graduate students, Northern community representatives, government and industry partners and stakeholders from all fields.

As part of the establishment of the new Arctic Regions, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) have been conducting engagements with Northern Indigenous organizations, provincial and territorial governments, industry, and others to identify the boundaries and priorities of the new regions.
