Update Received

Through the Enhanced Maritime Situational Awareness initiative, Transport Canada is partnering with Indigenous communities across Canada’s coasts for a pilot project to test a web-based and user-friendly system that will enhance the availability of information and data on maritime activity, including vessel traffic, and support local decision-making related to marine safety and environmental protection. On May 6, 2019, the system became available for the pilot project partners across Canada. See the ‘Documents’ tab for the associated diagram outlining this initiative.
